I think its actually the largest mars map that is available. But because of the map height (just high enough), nothing starts off green or with water. It works great with the terraform addon, since you actively need to terraform to introduce water onto mars. On the other hand.for a map that works with Sim Mars terraform addon (its on MODDB sim mars page I linked under addons).I am using.

Do note, it includes Sim mars so you don't need to download that separately. If you are good at modding its not too bad, but otherwise its kinda complicated. Read the readme cause its kinda hard to setup. Granted, I only had one map properly convert.

You won't believe your eyes when you see how big the map is! So much to build!Īs a note, I don't use CAM (Colossus Addon Mod) because it requires a ton of additional lots (way too many for me) and also isn't compatible with some of the other mods in that list.īarsoom pretty much overhauls "some" mars maps to a "green" map or used for terran/earth maps but with a sci-fi twist. The map is massive, I think one of the bigger game maps out there for SimCity 4. But, maybe some will like that kinda theme for a city builder. And you click browse and it will show you your sim city folder now this also has a plugins. That and Sim Mars was mostly aesthetic changes, instead of actual gameplay changes. The reason you need a subwoofer is simply because the vast majority of speakers and monitors cant accurately reproduce bass in the 20Hz-80Hz region. Personally I stopped using mars, because I like my game I have going on on a South America region. I didn't run into any problems or anything. Sim Mars never left beta 3, but from what I tested it out.it worked good enough.
Sim Mars you will be amazed because it changes the entire game to a mars theme! SPAM ((SimPeg Agricultural Mod) and I-RM (Industrial Revolution Mod) are both great as well for the former overhauling the farming industry (which farming doesn't work well late game in vanilla SimCity 4) and the latter making industry even better. It overalls the traffic system, adds a lot of new roads/freeways and makes a huge change and a much better change to the game. NAM (Network Addon Mod) especially is a 100% required mod. You will be amazed by what the mods do to make a much better game! I highly recommend checking those mods out. Build your way to extraordinary.For those that still play SimCity 4, since its pretty much still the to-go-to for city builders. Make smart choices to keep your citizens happy and your skyline growing. You can even add an assortment of animals to your landscape but they quickly. All you do is load an area in God mode (the starting mode for a new city) and you can paint on geographical features like mountains, craters, mesas and canyons.
Every decision is yours as your city gets larger and more intricate. Customizing a region is fairly easy with the included toolset.
